A Clinical Study on the Midtrimester Abortion Induced by Laminaria, Colpeurynter, Extraovular Prostaglandin F2 and Intravenous Oxytocin

Abstract
|
|
|
The midtrimester abortion on 78 gravida for 3 years from Feb., 1983 to
Feb., 1986 were analyzed according to its methods.
1) The range of age was between 19 and 47, and age range was 26-30 years old were most common. (47.5%)
2) The indications were FDIU, missed abortion, PROM, anencephaly, and FDIU were most common cause. (69.2%)
3) The abortion time using laminaria, colpeurynter, intravenous oxytocin was 6.2±3.2 hours in primipara, 4.8±2.0 hours in multipara. In comparison with groups using extraovular prostaglandin F2a, aortion time was shorter in the former than in the latter. The difference was significant.
4) The frequent side effect using extraovular prostaglandin F2a, was nausea and vomiting (13.8%), the main complication in colpeurynter group was craniotomy, (20%)
